Alternet -- Well, isn't this special. An article with more on the drug contribution theory of family mass murders, the overwhelming most of which are father-perpetrated, opens with a joke and then does deliberate gender (and causation)-obscuring:

I guess we could have a thousand more fathers blow away their families in misogynistic control-motivated mass annihilations, and idiots in the media still would be citing to Smith and Yates (15 and 8 years ago, respectively), and mixing in a handful of other cases with unrelated dynamics in order to create their false "balance".
