Judge had dismissed petition for protective order against husband who shot and murdered his wife
Fairway, Kansas -- Franklin L. Grammer Jr. previously had choked Betty Grammer, beat her head on the floor, and threatened to kill her. The McCurtain County judge dismissed her petition June 2 when she did not show up at the court hearing. Maybe next time, Your Honor, you might consider a dv no-show to be evidence of possible kidnapping, intimidation, or witness tampering, alert the police, and order a continuance until you know it's not.
