Many people are commenting on this story, mostly going to astonishment that any parents would leave a registered sex offender babysit their children. Perhaps we should go further back. Perhaps Adam Croote shouldn't have been a "poster boy for missing children". What idiot decided that he should be raised by the same people who raised his murderer father? Perhaps if they had not made the maternal grandparents who "kidnapped" him into the bad guys, Croote wouldn't have turned into a multiple sex felon himself.

Father's rights groups readily blamed the mother and "parental alienation". There is no good damn reason that when he said he was scared, when he said he and his brother were being physically and sexually abused, when he said he did not want to go with his joint custody father, that he wasn't believed, and that the judicial and police power of the state would not allow him to have a peaceful childhood, that his fathers' ego wants and demands were considered more credible and more important.
